Over the past few months the Township has been inundated with thefts from motor vehicles. Mobile signboards have been placed advising residents to lock their car doors, the new digital signboard has also provided a display on making residents aware of the occurring thefts. Below will outline again some helpful tips to avoid becoming the next case number:
- Lock you vehicle doors
- DO NOT LEAVE YOUR WALLET OR PURSE IN YOUR VEHICLE
- Hide GPS or any other expensive equipment you would hate to have stolen.
Most of the time the crooks are opportunity thieves. Meaning they are merely searching for the unlocked vehicle opportunity.
